Men's Closing Bonspiel


 Next year’s bonspiel will be March 26-29, 2026. You will be invited next year with a January 1st deadline. Thank you, for supporting our club, have fun, and good curling everyone!!!  Murray Fullerton, Men’s Bonspiel Coordinator.

WELCOME TO THE 2025 BRCC MEN’S BONSPIEL!

CLUB RULES: NO private alcohol, drinks or food brought into the club. No alcohol beverages on ice surface or outside. Plastic bottles on the ice surface only. No open glasses of liquid on the ice.

DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. DRINK RESPONSIBLY. No overnight parking on municipal roads/streets. Ride the bus or leave your vehicle overnight, park in lots east and north of the building. A.J. BUS LINES SERVICE: Thursday Friday and Saturday 10 PM – 2:00 AM.

SCHEDULE:                                                                                                                       

Thursday Night:      Team Pizzas 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM Sponsor Cameco Corporation

Friday Afternoon:   Team Pizzas 1:30 PM Sponsor Cameco Corporation

Friday Night:   8:00 PM - 11:00 PM – “Gators” Baked beans, meats/cheese/buns          

Saturday:        9:00 AM - 11:00 AM – Breakfast - Eggs/bacon/hashbrowns/toast/OJ/Coffee

                        12:00 PM-   2:00 PM   – Lunch – Soup/Chili/sandwiches (nominal price)

                        1:00 PM -    4:00 PM    –   Jam Session Frank Lemieux/Jacques Bros. and friends

                        4:45 PM -    6:00 PM   – Supper - Steak OR two sausages, baked potato, veggies, Caesar salad, dessert, coffee. 

                        8:00 PM -    1:00 AM - Dance – Summit Sounds

Sunday:          8:30 AM - Coffee, donuts, and muffins

                        12:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Lunch – Chili and buns (nominal price)

                        5:00 PM      Closing Ceremonies and Prizes

CURLING RULES

1.     Games start on time. The buzzer system is used. There is a five-rock free guard zone. The no-tick rule does not apply.

2.     Ties: One player from each team (any position) draws to the button for regular play. On Sunday, the Semi-final and Final games play a full extra end.

3.     Spares must play lead.

4.     If a ruling on the ice is needed, ask Tod Swan, Al Viel, Brian West, or Dave Mitchell.

5.     Local teams please clean the ice after games.

6.     Players under 26 years of age must sign Rowan’s Law Concussion Form at registration desk.
